Frankly, My Dear, I Don’t Give A…

You know the rest!

We had the honor of handing the Margaret Mitchell Archives in Atlanta’s Fulton County Library Special Collections Department a few years ago.

We are now fortunate enough to handle more in a DC private collection. This private collection consists of letters, notes, artifacts, and other ephemera used while the Pulitzer Prize-winning author was writing Gone With the Wind, the American Civil War-era masterpiece published in 27 languages.

It is widely known that Mitchell meticulously researched every detail in the novel, down to exact specs on those irresistible Southern belle hoop skirts. Mitchel was a 4th-generation Atlantan, so it was definitely personal!

Pictured: do they really need an intro? It’s Rhett and Scarlett!
